"A Life Made by Hand, The Story of Ruth Asawa" is out

Kirkus says: “This distinctive biography brims with artistic vision as it informs about a signature sculptor.” I say, I’m very proud of this book. Less than 2 years ago, I followed my gut feeling that this was the right subject for me to explore, research, and ultimately write and illustrate. It actually all happened very, very quickly, considering all the obstacles that could have come up (with any biography). Thanks to Princeton Architectural Press and Debbie Bibo Agency, we did it. Asawa has many fans, but I’m also honored to have a small part in bringing her work to a wider and more international audience. A hugely inspiring figure. Hope you enjoy my take on her story. You can purchase it here, or at your favorite local bookstore.
